S. Hall was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. attended Willamette University, Salem, OR where she worked on psychological research for a statistics computer class. She was listed as the co-author on the resulting psychological research, published, in the University of Michigan’s Training School Bulletin, in 1975.

S. Hall received a BS in Psychology in 1974 and a Masters of Education with, specialization in Guidance & Counseling, in December of 1975 from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington. She graduated cum laude.

S. Hall is married, the mother of twins and lives with, her husband in Georgia. S. Hall is a past member of the American Psychology Association’s, Society for Humanistic Psychology.
